Connecting Your Domain to a Website or Funnel

Before your landing pages can go live, you need to link your domain (the URL your clients type) to your PulseHub account. This requires setting up specific records with your Domain Registrar (like GoDaddy, Cloudflare, or Namecheap). Achieving this connection ensures operational clarity and a professional appearance.

I. Preparation: Root vs. Subdomain

We recommend using a subdomain for funnels and landing pages, while keeping your main website on your root domain (though PulseHub can host both).

II. Setting Up DNS Records

You must log in to your Domain Registrar's dashboard to add two essential records.

1. The CNAME Record (For Subdomains)

The CNAME record links your chosen subdomain to PulseHub's servers.

  • Type: CNAME

  • Host/Name: Enter the prefix of your subdomain (e.g., offers or book).

  • Value/Points To: sites.ludicrous.cloud

  • TTL: Leave as default or select the lowest possible time.

Note: If you are using Cloudflare, you must set the Proxy Status to "DNS Only" (the grey cloud). PulseHub does not support the Cloudflare proxy when connecting domains.

2. The A Record (For Root Domains)

If you plan to host your main website on PulseHub (using the root domain):

  • Type: A

  • Host/Name: @ or sometimes blank.

  • Value/Points To: 162.159.140.166

III. Linking the Domain in PulseHub

Once the records are saved with your registrar (which may take a few hours to propagate), you can finalise the connection in PulseHub.

  1. Navigate to Domains: Go to Settings $\rightarrow$ Domains.

  2. Click + Add Domain.

  3. Enter URL: Enter the full domain or subdomain you configured (e.g., offers.yourcompany.com).

  4. Confirm Records: Select Add Record Manually and click Continue. PulseHub will then attempt to verify the DNS entries.

  5. Assign Asset: Once verified, you must select which asset to link the domain to:

    • Website

    • Funnel

  6. Select Default Page: Choose the specific page that should load when a user types the main domain URL (e.g., the homepage or the funnel's first step).

  7. Finalise: Click Link Domain. PulseHub will automatically provision the necessary SSL certificate, which may take a few minutes.

Tip: If you connected the root domain (yourcompany.com), ensure the "www redirect" option is enabled during this process. This automatically redirects users who type www.yourcompany.com to your main domain, so you never miss a beat of traffic.
