Understanding LC Email in PulseHub

What is LC Email?

LC Email is the dedicated email sending service built right into your PulseHub platform. It is designed specifically to handle all your automated communication needs, including:

  • Marketing Campaigns: Sending out newsletters or special offers to your client list.

  • Automated Flows: Sending emails from your Welcome, Booking Confirmation, or Winback Flows.

  • Direct Communication: Sending individual emails to leads or clients directly from the Contacts tab.

Why Do We Use LC Email?

LC Email is built on a robust infrastructure, meaning it is designed for high deliverability and reliability.

  • High Volume Capable: Handles thousands of emails per month without issue, perfect for growing your list.

  • Simple Integration: It is already set up and linked to your automated workflows in PulseHub, so you do not need to connect external services.

  • Designed for Flows: It handles all the time-sensitive communication like reminders and confirmations reliably.

LC Email and Cold Outreach

You may hear the term LC Email often in relation to cold outreach.

  • LC Email's Primary Use: Its infrastructure is highly optimised for marketing and transactional (confirmation/reminder) emails.

  • Cold Outreach Limitation: Sending high volumes of unsolicited emails (cold outreach) can be seen as suspicious by mailbox providers like Gmail and Outlook. If you send too many, it can damage the reputation of your entire email address and negatively affect your marketing email deliverability.

  • Recommendation: If you plan on large-scale cold outreach, it is highly recommended to use a different dedicated email service (like Google Workspace or Office 365) and integrate that using SMTP. LC Email should be reserved for clients who have already opted in to hear from you.

Setting Up Your Dedicated Email Sending Domain

If you are sending marketing or automated emails to your client list, setting up a Dedicated Sending Domain is the most important step you can take to ensure your emails reach the inbox.

What is a Dedicated Sending Domain?

Think of your email address (e.g., [email protected]) as having a reputation. When you send an email, mailbox providers (like Gmail) look at the domain (yourbusiness.com) to decide if they trust it.

  • Dedicated Domain: This means you are telling Gmail/outlook, "I own this domain, and I am responsible for these emails." This proves legitimacy and separates your reputation from others.

  • Benefit: This helps protect your emails from being flagged as spam and significantly improves your deliverability (how often your email lands in the main inbox).

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

This process involves copying unique codes from PulseHub and pasting them into the settings of your Domain Provider (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains).

Prerequisites

  1. You must own a domain name (e.g., yourbusiness.com).

  2. You must have access to the Domain Name Server (DNS) settings for that domain.

Step 1: Get the Codes from PulseHub

  1. Log into PulseHub and navigate to Settings > Email Services.

  2. Select the Dedicated Sending Domain tab.

  3. Enter the subdomain you want to use for sending (e.g., mg.yourdomain.com). We recommend using mg (for MailGun) or email as the prefix.

  4. PulseHub will generate a set of codes (DNS Records: TXT and CNAME) that you need for the next step. Keep this window open.

Step 2: Add the Codes to Your Domain Provider

  1. Log into your domain provider (e.g., GoDaddy).

  2. Find the DNS Management or DNS Settings area for your domain name.

  3. You will need to create two specific types of records:

  • TXT Record: This verifies that you own the sending domain and is crucial for security.

  • CNAME Record: This tells Gmail where the email is being sent from (PulseHub's infrastructure).

  1. Copy the Host/Name and Value/Answer for the TXT Record from PulseHub and paste them exactly into your provider's DNS settings.

  2. Repeat this for the two CNAME Records.

Step 3: Verification

  1. Return to PulseHub and click Verify.

  2. Wait Time: It can take between 10 minutes and 48 hours for the DNS changes to fully update globally. If verification fails immediately, wait 3-4 hours and try again.

  3. Once verified, you are ready to send emails with a highly trusted domain!
